Privacy Policy

This explains what SpawnAI collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can to run your servers.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash; we can't read them. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Discord, we receive your name and email from them.
- Your servers: the settings you choose, the worlds your game saves, backups of those worlds, and the game's log (which includes the in-game names of players who join).
- Launch list: if you ask us to tell you when we launch, your email address and, only if you choose to give them, your name and the games you're interested in. We also note when you signed up and any follow-up we make with you.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser, recorded when you sign in so we can keep your sessions secure, and in short-lived server logs.
- Payments (once billing starts): handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
Why we use it
- To run the servers you ask for and keep them backed up (the contract with you).
- To sign you in, keep your account secure and prevent abuse (our legitimate interest).
- To email you about your account, your servers, outages and changes to these terms.
- To tell you about our launch and, if you reply, to follow up with you, if you joined the launch list (your consent; you can withdraw it at any time).
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. There are no tracking or advertising cookies, so there's no cookie banner.
Who else handles it
Only the services we need to run SpawnAI: the hosting provider that runs the servers, our payment provider once billing starts, and our email provider once account emails start. Each only gets what it needs for its job.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. Automatic backups are rotated (a week of daily backups). When you delete a server, its world and backups are erased. When you delete your account, everything above is erased straight away, except records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices. Launch-list details are kept until you ask us to remove them or we have finished telling people about the launch, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can see and change your details in Settings, and delete your account there at any time. To leave the launch list, just email us and we'll remove you. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or erase it, by emailing [email protected]. If you're in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect.
